About the artist
Julia Dubsky was born in 1990, in Dublin, to a German mother and Austro-Irish father. Influenced by her mother (Karin Dubsky) coordinator of Coastwatch, Julia grew up with an avid environmental curiosity.
Her multinational background and early childhood in Prague, has prompted a thirst for travel from Mongolia to India, to the West Indies, Morocco and Los Angeles which also heavily influences the exploration and experimentation in her art. Over the last five years she has exhibited in Waterford, Greystones, Dublin, Prague and Antigua along with the execution of multiple commissioned works from large oil paintings to analytical drawings of species for scientific identification.
This October, she will begin a four year undergraduate course in Fine Art at NCAD.
